Hospital & Medical Equipment Recycling

Medical monitoring equipment in a hospital setting.

Medical Equipment Pickup and Asset Recovery

Michigan Electronic Recycling helps hospitals and healthcare organizations retire medical electronics, computers, servers, and storage equipment. We evaluate equipment for reuse or recycling and can coordinate commercial pickups across multiple locations.

Send your equipment list, make and model details, photos, and removal requirements before scheduling. Large machinery and X-ray equipment require advance review.

Request a medical equipment pickup or call (248) 918-9814.

Accepted Equipment and Exclusions

We evaluate most medical and dental electronics for reuse or recycling, including imaging equipment. Contact us with equipment details and photos before scheduling pickup.

Equipment must be free of biohazard contamination. We do not accept sharps, pharmaceutical or chemical waste, radioactive sources, dental amalgam waste, or damaged batteries through our standard electronics collection service. Large machinery and X-ray equipment require advance review.

Patient Data and Destruction Documentation

We can sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for work involving patient data. We identify data-bearing storage within medical equipment and remove it when needed for sanitization on a standalone wiping machine or physical destruction.

Our logical wiping and physical destruction services follow NIST SP 800-88 guidance and include serialized documentation. We tailor inventory records and certificates of data destruction to the agreed project requirements.

Supported media includes SAS 6 Gb/s and 12 Gb/s drives, SATA, IDE, CompactFlash, and NVMe including U.2. We also shred hard drives, SSDs, USB flash drives, and tapes.

Discuss your equipment and data-handling requirements before collection.
