IT Recycling for Banks and Credit Unions

Office computer workstations.

Multi-Branch Electronics Collection

Michigan Electronic Recycling specializes in coordinating electronics pickups across multiple Michigan credit union branches. We collect retired workstations, computers, servers, storage devices, monitors, printers, and peripherals.

Provide your branch list, equipment quantities, access contacts, and preferred collection dates so we can plan the route and project scope.

Branch-specific inventories and destruction records, along with consolidated reporting, are available by request and may incur additional fees.

NIST Data Sanitization and On-Site Shredding

We offer NIST SP 800-88 data sanitization, preserving reusable equipment when that approach meets your institution’s requirements. Processing methods are selected for the media and the agreed disposition policy, with certificates of data destruction.

On-site drive shredding is also available and includes a serialized drive list. We prefer drives to be removed from computers before an on-site shredding visit.

Tell us about your institution’s data-handling, documentation, and destruction requirements before scheduling so the scope can be confirmed.

Founder-Handled Transport and Requested Inventory

Loose drives are typically transported in bins in the vehicle cab with our founder, who handles the pickup. For drives already removed from equipment, on-site serial-number recording is available by request.

Computers with drives still installed are brought to our facility, where compatible systems can be sanitized using Aiken or drives can be removed for processing.

We tailor inventory and destruction records to the agreed scope. Request branch-level tracking and consolidated reports before collection so the reporting requirements and any additional fees can be included in your quote.
